WEEK 1 RECAP

OPENING WEEK: 9/21 - 9/27

Flames 8 — Capitals 3

The Flames came out of the gate red hot as #1 overall pick Jacob Sterner scored five goals to lead his team to victory. Johnny Kossack stood tall in net, making several big saves to secure the win. Logan McManus added two goals, while Luke Alarcon recorded a goal and an assist. For the Capitals, Jaxon Passarella made a ton of saves to keep the game close. William Tramontano and Thomas Kehoe scored, while Aden Mandel, Thomas Blondel, and Owen Bernstein each picked up an assist.

Kings 9 — Kraken 4

Another five-goal performance highlighted the night as Sam Stawinski led the Kings to victory. Colin Jewels tallied four points with two goals and two assists, while Vincent Rufo held things down between the pipes. For the Kraken, Dylan Hullstrung scored four goals and Matteo Tseretopoulos recorded three assists.

Islanders 9 — Rangers 3

The Rangers opened the season short-handed without their starting goaltender, with Jake Passarella stepping up in net. Rocco Marino scored twice for the Rangers. The Islanders received contributions throughout the lineup, led by Lucas Senicola, who recorded five points with four goals and an assist. Brian Barrera added two goals and an assist, while Matthew Lin scored and added two assists.

Predators 13 — Lightning 10

The Predators jumped out to an early four-goal lead and never looked back. Matthew Amari led the way with three goals and two assists, while Londyn Messemer recorded a hat trick and an assist. In his first career start between the pipes at BMRH, Jake Cohen earned the victory. Despite the loss, the Lightning moved the puck extremely well and finished with 13 team assists. Marco Tseretopoulos scored five goals and added an assist, while Andrew Rapp finished with six points and Ryan Reif added five.

Panthers 12 — Golden Knights 8

This game featured several monster performances, with four players recording at least four points. John Tamm led the Panthers with four goals and two assists, while Quinn Miller scored five times in the win. Bobby Michaleski earned the victory in goal. For the Golden Knights, Owen Pessel and Tyler Zak each recorded four points, while Sarosh Hasan added two goals and an assist.

Devils 10 — Flyers 8

The Devils edged the Flyers in a back-and-forth nail-biter. Logan Maslauskas scored the game-winner with just over five minutes remaining, finishing with two goals and three assists. James Esposito earned his first victory in his first-ever Junior Division start. Jake Seidman and Patrick Casserly each recorded four points. For the Flyers, Vincent Catalfomo led the way with four goals and an assist, while Frankie Smart added two goals and an assist.

Predators 7 — Capitals 5

The Predators made it two straight as Jake Cohen made enough big saves to secure the victory. James Alveari recorded three points, while Ryan Quatroni and Ryder Sanon each added two points. For the Capitals, Owen Bernstein led the way with two goals and an assist, while Anthony Commisso scored twice.

Kings 12 — Panthers 7

The Kings moved to 2-0 behind several impressive performances. Nikolas Kossack exploded for seven points with six goals and an assist, while Sam Stawinski finished with six points and Colin Jewels added four. Gavin Tenney stepped into the backup goaltender role and earned his first BMRH victory. For the Panthers, Jaxon Reedman returned to the lineup with two goals and an assist, while John Tamm continued his hot start with three points.

Devils 9 — Rangers 8 OT

With just over three minutes remaining, Brendan Palmer scored to give the Devils a two-goal lead. The Rangers battled back as Brendan Space cut the deficit to one before Rocco Marino tied the game with just :44 remaining. The game went to overtime, where Patrick Casserly completed his four-goal night by scoring the power-play winner to give the Devils the victory and improve to 2-0.

Flames 11 — Lightning 6

The Flames improved to 2-0 as three players reached at least three points. Jacob Sterner scored three goals, while Griffin Costigan added two goals and an assist and Eli Horowitz finished with a goal and two assists. Johnny “The Hammer” Kossack earned his second victory between the pipes. For the Lightning, Liam Licastro and Vito Oppedisano each scored their first goals of the fall season.

Kraken 13 — Golden Knights 9

The Kraken picked up their first win of the season behind monster performances from Lucas Folchetti-Puglin and Robert DiMonda. Lucas recorded seven points with four goals and three assists, while Robert added four goals and two assists. Shea Hubbard earned the win in net. For the Golden Knights, Owen Pessel had a huge night with six goals and three assists, while John Schrade added two goals.

Islanders 11 — Flyers 6

The Islanders took care of the Flyers as Matthew Laico filled in between the pipes and earned the victory. Lucas Senicola continued his strong start with seven goals, while Matthew Lin recorded four assists. For the Flyers, Vincent Catalfomo and Nicholas Urso each recorded three points as the Flyers fell to 0-2.
