WEEK 8 RECAP

FRESHMAN DIVISION SEMIFINALs
Devils 12 - Lightning 5
After defeating the Lightning in their last regular season game, the Devils had the momentum heading into this semifinals matchup. They came out blazing hot and never looked back. William Brucia (2 goals, 1 assist), Sarosh Hasan (2 goals, 1 assist), Aiden Dwojak (1 goal, 2 assists), and Dylan Day (1 goal, 2 assists) all recorded 3 points each. Ethan Banks made save after save in goal and the Devils are moving on to the finals. The Lightning had a great season and played hard until the final buzzer. James Alveari (2 goals), and John Cusumano (2 goals) led the way in scoring while Christopher Bruntvedt recorded 2 assists in their final game of the season.
Golden Knights 9 - Jets 1
The Golden Knights end the regular season with a 7-3 record. Thomas Primrose shut the door in this one only allowing 1 goal against. Peyton Paul had a 4-point game (2 goals, 2 assists), and Vincent Catalfomo recorded a hat trick. Nicholas Macko, and Nicholas Urso each scored a pair of goals. The Jets lone goal was scored by John Roche. They have 1 more regular season game before facing off against the Golden Knights in the double-elimination tournament where anything can happen.
SOPHOMORE DIVISION SEMIFINALS
Ducks 11 - Blues 7
Big time players come up in big time games, and the Ducks stars came out to play tonight. Tyler Zak led the way recording 8 points (5 goals, 3 assists), Owen Pessel recorded 5 points (1 goal, 4 assists), and both Michael Liguori (1 goal, 2 assists), and Brian Barrera (2 goals, 1 assist) recorded 3 points a piece. Shane Zuckerman made some important saves down the stretch and held on to the victory in goal. Colin Jewels recorded 3 goals, and an assist, and Ashlyn Hite recorded 3 assists for the Blues as their season comes to an end.
FRESHMAN DIVISION SEMIFINALs
Kings 9 - Flames 5
Anything can happen in the playoffs and that's why we play the games - the Kings take down the #1 seed. The Kings dynamic duo of 1st liners: Jase Kavanagh (4 goals, 1 assist), and Lukas Aykaz (1 goal, 4 assist) connected for 5 points each. Eli Horowitz added 2 goals, and Jaxon Passarella held the high-scoring attack of the Flames off the scoreboard. In what is the Flames final game of the season, Quinn Miller recorded 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist), and Thomas Pagnanelli scored twice. The Kings will now face the Devils whom they have lost to three times this season, while only winning once.
Avalanche 10 - Jets 2
Christopher Keane (1 goal, 3 assists), and Lucas Senicola (2 goals, 2 assists) recorded 4-point games as the Avs continued their winning ways. Jake Passarella added 2 goals, 1 assist and Dominic Safuto recorded his 8th win in goal this season. John Roche scored for the Avs, and Jackson Millici added an assist. The Jets will take on the Golden Knights in the 1st matchup of our double-elimination tournament to crown this season's champion.
SOPHOMORE DIVISION SEMIFINALS
Capitals 12 - Oilers 7
The Capitals are moving on to the finals as Ryan Busk had a monster game scoring 5 times. Nolan Russo, the division MVP finished with 3 goals, and 2 assists. Both Isabella Di Stephan (3 assists), and Anthony Russo (1 goal, 2 assists) recorded 3-point games. The Oilers Jaxon Reedman recorded 7 points (2 goals, 5 assists), and Sam Stawinski scored 4 times and added an assist. The Caps will face the Ducks in the finals where they took the season series 2-1.
