WEEK 2 RECAP

Sharks 7Mammoth 6
A thrilling battle went down to the final buzzer, with goaltender Jaxon Passerella coming up clutch in the closing minutes to secure the win for the Sharks. James Pronesti and Sean Seidenstein each posted three-point performances (2G, 1A), while Landon Gallagher dished out three assists. In the loss, Landon Yuenling recorded a hat trick for the Mammoth.

Bruins 10Rangers 9
Just two weeks into the season, this one may already be a contender for game of the year. Neither team could break through during a 5-minute 3-on-3 sudden death overtime, sending the game to a shootout. Brenden Hoefenkrieg sealed it with his fifth goal of the game, while his brother Sean Hoefenkrieg shut the door in net to secure the win. Nolan Russo led the Rangers with a five-point effort, including four goals.

Stars 8Capitals 1
The Stars picked up their second straight win behind a dominant performance from Jack Alvy, who turned aside nearly every shot he faced. Harrison Nawrocki led the offense with four points (2G, 2A), while Brayden Padula added a goal and two assists.

Ducks 8Canadiens 7
A tightly contested game came down to the final seconds, with the Canadiens getting a last chance to tie, but AidenDwojak came up big to secure his second win of the season for the Ducks. Quinn Miller led the charge with a hat trick, while Luke Alarcon (2G), Londyn Messemer (2G), and Jordan Messemer (1G, 1A) each recorded two points. In the loss, Thomas Pagnanelli posted five points (2G, 3A), while Marco Tseretopoulos and Jordan Klein both added two goals and two assists. The Canadiens have been competitive and could easily be 2-0, but haven’t caught the breaks so far.

Islanders 8 Devils 7
Luca Campana’s four-point performance powered the Islanders past the Devils, evening the season series at one win apiece. Isabella DiStephan contributed a goal and two assists, while Michael Shevlin added two helpers and AshlynHite scored twice. James Esposito earned the win in net. For the Devils, Tyler Moshes netted four goals, and six different players recorded at least one point.

Oilers 15Red Wings 12
The Oilers improved to 2-0 with another high-scoring win over the Red Wings. Donovan Butler led the way with eight points (5G, 3A), while AJ Navarro chipped in four goals and an assist. Zajin Ramirez picked up the win in goal. Despite the loss, the Red Wings had standout performances from Anthony Menechino (5G, 3A) and Vincent Catalfomo (5G, 2A).

Blue Jackets 10 – Senators 5
The Blue Jackets earned their first win of the season behind a strong effort from fill-in goaltender Landon Campana. Jase Kavanagh led the offense with four goals and two assists, while Ryan Moshes added two goals and two assists. Anthony Commisso and Lukas Aykaz each recorded 3 points (2 G, 1 A) in the loss. 

Bruins 9Islanders 5
The Bruins remained unbeaten at 3-0, led by Week 1 Player of the Week Aldo Penaloza, who had a goal and three assists. Jayce Vanasco added four points (2G, 2A), and John Tamm chipped in a goal and two assists. Sean Hoefenkrieg earned the win in net. For the Islanders, now 1-2, Nate Menikheim recorded a hat trick.

Oilers 14Capitals 6
After a close first half, the Oilers pulled away to secure their third straight victory. AJ Navarro (3G, 3A) and DonovanButler (5G, 1A) each recorded six-point games, while Zajin Ramirez earned the win. For the Capitals, Christopher Keane had four points (2G, 2A), with Rocco Marino and Joseph Doyle adding two points each.

Sharks 7 Mammoth 6
For the second straight matchup, these teams delivered another 7–6 thriller, with the Sharks coming out on top once again. Landon Gallagher led the way with four points (1G, 3A), while James Alveari and James Pronesti each scored twice, as the Sharks’ top line continues to stay red hot. Jaxon Passarella picked up another win in net. For the Mammoth, Ethan Banks recorded a hat trick, and Lucca Capuano added two assists in the effort.

Devils 8Rangers 4
A balanced team effort saw 10 different players score in this matchup. The Devils improved to 2-1 as ShaneZuckerman shut down the Rangers’ offense. Tyler Zak and Tyler Moshes each scored twice in the win. The Rangers fall to 0-2-1, with Nolan Russo and Brenden Palmer each recording a goal and an assist.

Stars 10Red Wings 7
Luke Padula led the Stars with five points (2G, 3A), while Nicholas Urso stayed hot, scoring four more goals to bring his season total to nine. Jack Alvy earned another win in net as the Stars picked up their third straight victory. For the Red Wings, Vincent Catalfomo (1G, 3A) and Frankie Smart (3G, 1A) each finished with four points.

Blue Jackets 12Canadiens 10
A high-scoring Friday night showdown saw the Blue Jackets outlast the Canadiens in a back-and-forth battle. The Habs continue to come close but are still searching for their first win of the season. Thomas Pagnanelli delivered a huge performance with six goals and an assist, while Scarlett Pinset added two goals and Matthew Chait contributed three points (1G, 2A) in the loss. For the Blue Jackets, Jase Kavanagh led the way with four points (3G, 1A), LucasNasso recorded a hat trick, and Shane Blinder stepped in between the pipes to earn the win.
