WEEK 7 RECAP

Blue Jackets 9 - Mammoth 3

The Blue Jackets got their revenge against the Mammoth tying the season series at 1-1 with a convincing 9-3 victory. Thomas Blondel led the offensive attack with a goal and two assists, while Lucas Nasso added two goals and an assist. Goaltender Johnny Kosack was solid between the pipes as the Blue Jackets secured their eighth win of the season and extended their winning streak to four games. For the Mammoth, Sarosh Hasan scored twice and EricManheimer added a goal. Despite the loss, the Mammoth currently sit in the No. 3 seed and will await the remaining results to determine their final playoff position.

Sophomore Division Semifinal

Bruins 9  - Rangers 1

The Bruins bounced back in dominant fashion after suffering their first loss of the season in the regular-season finale. Division MVP Brendan Hoefenkrieg once again led the charge, scoring five goals, while Division MVG SeanHoefenkrieg was outstanding in net. Jayce Vanasco contributed two goals, including a highlight-reel fake slap shot and deke around the goaltender. Brenden Palmer scored the lone goal for the Rangers, whose season comes to an end. A special shoutout goes to Rangers player Nolan Russo, who missed the final weeks of the season due to a season-ending injury. Everyone at BMRH wishes Nolan a speedy recovery.

Junior Division Semifinal

Oilers 12 - Capitals 4

The Oilers continued their dominant late-season run, extending their winning streak to five games and punching their ticket to the finals with a 12-4 win over the Capitals. Division MVP Donovan Butler and John Roche each recorded hat tricks to lead the offensive explosion. AJ Navarro added two goals, while Aiden Miller (1G, 1A), Jeffrey Arale (1G), Matthew Lin (1G), and Matthew Rosman (1G) all found the back of the net. Jake Passarella scored twice for the Capitals, with Christopher Keane assisting on both goals. The Capitals’ season comes to an end following the semifinal defeat.

Ducks 8 - Senators 3

The Ducks locked up the No. 1 overall seed in the playoffs with another impressive performance, defeating the Senators 8-3. Goaltender Aiden Dwojak once again shut the door in net to earn another victory on the season. Quinn Miller continued his hot streak with a six-point performance, tallying four goals and two assists. Richard Postiglione orchestrated the offense all game long, finishing with five assists. William Brucia paced the Senators with two goals in the loss.

Sophomore Division Semifinal

Devils 7 - Islanders 6

Fans were treated to another thriller in the Sophomore Division as the Devils edged the Islanders 7-6 in a back-and-forth semifinal showdown. Goals came tit-for-tat throughout the night, keeping spectators on the edge until the final whistle. Islanders goaltender James Esposito delivered an outstanding effort, while Devils netminder ShaneZuckerman came up with several key saves late in the game to help seal the victory.

Brooks Matulich led the Islanders with a monster performance of three goals and two assists, while Jaxon Reedman added two goals and two assists. For the Devils, playoff standout Tyler Zak delivered once again with a hat trick and an assist to send his team to the finals.

Junior Division Semifinal

Red Wings 6 - Stars 4

After finishing the regular season with a 2-8 record, the Red Wings saved their best performance for the playoffs, knocking off the Stars 6-4 in semifinal action. Goaltender Thomas Primrose was outstanding between the pipes, while Frankie Smart (3G, 1A) and Anthony Menechino (2G, 2A) powered the offense. Peyton Paul chipped in with a goal and an assist while playing shutdown defense in the closing minutes. The Stars saw a remarkable season come to an end just short of the finals. Leading scorer Harrison Nawrocki was limited to two goals, while Lucas Senicola contributed a goal and an assist in the loss.
