Jets 8 - Sharks 7

The Jets bounce back from last week's loss to the Sharks, and earn the victory in this matchup. Sam Stawinski recorded a hat trick and Jase Kavanagh finished the evening with 2 goals. For the Sharks, a total of 5 players had a 2-point game. Canucks 8 - Stars 7 OT

At the half, the score was 2-1 but then both teams finished the evening combining for 11 goals. With 4:51 to play, the Stars were leading 7-5 but the Canucks Charles Postiglione (1 goal, 1 assist) scored with 1 minute remaining in regulation to make things interesting. The Canucks got possession, pulled their Goaltender, and had one final rush down the rink. Postiglione made a pass over to Mehmet Ali Cirakoglu who went top shelf with 3 seconds remaining to force this one in overtime. The sudden death overtime period started and was an absolute chess match. About half way through, Jaxon Reedman broke down the wing, and roofed a back-hander to seal the deal, and give the Canucks their 4th win of the season. Tyler Zak recorded 4 goals for the Canucks while Colin Jewels recorded a hat-trick in the loss for the Stars.

Predators  12 - Sharks 7

The two highest-scoring teams in the diivision faced-off this evening and it was the Predators are earned the W in the win column. We had another overtime thriller this week as the Flyers undefeated season remains intact. The Pens were in the lead thanks to Jordan Lass (4 goals), Michael Liguori (1 goal, 1 assist), and the goaltending of Daniel Godek but could not hang on. The Flyers trailed by 1 when Nicholas Macko made a great save, and slid the puck over to Brayden Padula (2 goals, 1 assist) who took it down the rink. Padula passed it to Lucas Senicola (1 goal) who tied it all up with 2.4 seconds to play in regulation. In the Overtime period, it was Brayden Padula getting the game-winner from Gavin Kane (2 assists). The Flyers reach the half-way point and are 5-0.

Bruins 12 - Lightning 11

The last time these two teams face-off, the Lightning led late in the game but the B's battled back and took it in OT. Fast forward to this one as the Lightning's Kyle Wilcha scored his 6th goal of the game (also had 3 assists) to give his team a 10-8 lead with 3 minutes remaining. But we have quickly learned to never count out the B's this season and they did it again! Donovan Butler (6 goals, 2 assists) scored with 1:10 to pull within 1, and James Pelini (4 goals, 6 assists) tied it all up with 49 seconds remaining. Just when you think we are heading to overtime, Donovan Butler nets the game-winner with 36 seconds on the clock to give the B's 4th win of the season, and a commanding lead in 1st place.

James Alveari leds the Preds with a hat trick and an assist, while teammate, Jacob Sterner, finished with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist).

Stars 5 - Penguins 3

Finally, a defense battle and one of, if not, the least goal-scoring game of our spring season. James Esposito and Daniel Godek put on a show in goal, but it's James and the Stars who prevail. Luca Campana recorded a hat trick and an assist, while both Robert DiMonda, and Peyton Paul, each scored and tallied an assist in the victory. The Pens Jordan Lass added 2 more goals to his division lead.
