WEEK 5 RECAP

Ducks 17 - Predators 12
Wait what? Am I reading this correctly? 29 goals scored, better check the bulbs on the scoreboard as this was a firework show! The Ducks win their 2nd straight as both Logan Kute, and Christian Lane scored 6 goals a piece! Matteo Tseretopoulos recorded 5 points (3 goals, 2 assists) in the victory. For the Preds, they drop their 2nd straight and sit in 3rd place. Matthew Foresta (4 goals, 2 assists), James Alveari (3 goals, 2 assists), and Jagger Kalka (3 goals, 1 assist) led the way for the Preds.
Penguins 9 - Stars 8
The Pens leap over the Stars in the standings with the win as Luke Van Bell scored the game-winner with 1:23 remaining. Jordan Lass scored 6 goals while Jackson DiPasquale recorded.2 assists. Daniel Godek held on long enough to earn the win. The Stars Robert DiMonda recorded 4 points (3 goals, 1 assist) while Luca Campana recorded a hat trick in the loss.
Bruins 11- Devils 10 OT
The Devils broke out to a great start as they led 7-1 at the break. Anthony Catanzarita recorded 4 points (3 goals, 1 assist), Luke Padula 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist), and Anthony Menechino scored 2 goals. But just like the B's have done all season long, the comeback was in full effect! Landon Butler recorded 8 points (2 goals, 6 assists), and Donovan Butler scored 7 times, one of which occured in overtime to give the B's their 5th win of the season
Jets 12 - Sharks 7
The Jets win their 4th straight as Goaltender, Ethan Banks has been keeping opponents off the board when the team needs it most. Sam Stawinski scored 6 goals and added an assist while Jasper Aykaz recorded a hatty. Johnny "Hammer" Kosscak, Joseph Postiglione, and Naveed Khan all recorded 2 assists.
Canucks 9 - Penguins 6
The Canucks jumped out to an early 7 goal lead and never looked back. James Carlin gets the victory in goal while Tyler Zak (3 goals, 1 assist), and Owen Pessel (1 goal, 2 assists) led the Canucks in scoring. The Pens Michael Liguori recorded a goal and 3 assists while Jordan Lass scored twice. The Canucks inch closer to the top of the mountain as they move to 5-1 while the Pens slide back to 4th place.
Ducks 15 - Sharks 11
Watch out everybody because after a 0-3-1 start, the Ducks have won 3-straight games and are scoring goals by the dozen! Matteo Tseretopoulos led the scoring attack scoring 4 times and also setting up 4 others! Logan Kute recored 7 points (5 goals, 2 assists), and Gianluca Barone recorded a hat tick and an assist. Dominick Politis earned the victory in goal for the Ducks. Both James Pronesti, and John Cusumano recorded 4 points (3 goals, 1 assist, each) in the loss for the Sharks as they lose their 5th straight.
Stars 5 - Kings 3
Robert DiMonda and Peyton Paul each scored a pair of goals, and James Esposito made the big saves to help the Stars earn the victory. The Kings continue to work hard and inched closer to their first win but just came up short. No question, there is no quit in this squad! Elijah Glass scored twice in the loss.
Bruins 11 - Lightning 10
No way, it happened again? the Lightning lose to the B's in the final minute of play as the B's pull off yet another comeback win! With 1:43 left in regulation, Kyle Wilcha scored his 4th of the game (also had 2 assists) to tie things up at 9. Twenty seconds later, Jack Purcell (5 goals, 3 assists) buried one in the back of the net to give the Bolts the lead, 10-9. But the B's have had that comeback mojo in them all season long as James Pelini (2 goals, 3 assists) scored with about :25 on the clock to tie things up. Once again, just when you think we are heading to overtime it was Pelini setting up Donovan Butler (4 goals, 2 assists) to pull off the 11-10 win for the B's. Shoutout to Jayden Cohen for throwing on the pads for this one and earning the win! These two teams have been battling it out all season long so get your popcorn ready as the Playoffs are going to be lit!
