WEEK 7 RECAP

Predators 8 - Blackhawks 4

The Predators take a big win into the playoffs as they knock off the 1st place Blackhawks. Jordan Daley recorded a hat trick and James Alveari scored, and assisted on 2 others to lead the scoring. But it was goaltender Jaxon Passarella who played spectacular keeping the Hawks off the board when it mattered most. For the Blackhawks, Andrew Rapp recorded 2 assists and Max Mann scored twice. The Blackhawks have 1 game remaining and it will be to see who clinches the #1 seed. 

Flyers 11 - Penguins 6

The Flyers continue on with their winning ways as team scoring leader Brayden Padula recorded a 6 point game (3 goals, 3 assists). Brian Barrera (2 goals, 3 assists), and Gavin Kane (3 goals, 2 assists), followed right behind with 5 point evenings. William Blumenstetter earned the victory in goal for the Flyers. Michael Liguori scored a goal and added 2 assists while Jordan Lass finished the game with a hat trick. The Penguins sit in 4th place with 1 game remaining. 

Lightning  8 - Devils 7OT 

The Bolts led 4-1 at the break but the Devils made it interesting as they scored 6 2nd half goals to force this one into OT, including the game tying goal scored by Anthony Menechino with only 17 seconds left on the board. Luke Padula recorded 6 points (3 goals, 3 assists) and AJ Navarro finished with 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists). The Lightning were led by Jack Purcell who scored 4 times and added 2 assists, one of those assists being on the OT game winner that was scored by Hunter Paul (1 goal, 1 assist). A quick turn around as these two teams face-off off again, which will be their last meeting of the regular season.

Jets 15 - Ducks 12

The Jets jumped out to an early 6 goal lead but the Ducks stormed back. The remainder of the game was back and forth but the Jets pulled through in the last few shifts to secure the win. Jase Kavanagh led the way scoring 3 goals and recording 7 assists while Lucas Aykaz was on double shift duties and finished with 9 points (5 goals, 4 assists). Ethan Banks earned the win in goal. The Ducks scoring was once again led by Logan Kute who recorded 6 points (3 goals, 3 assists). Matteo Tseretopoulos scored 4 and assisted on another, and Londyn Messemer scored and added 2 assists. The Ducks take the #3 seed while the Jets final seeding will be determined in the last regular season game of the spring season. 

Canucks 8 - Stars 2

The Canucks move to 7-1 on the season as James Carlin wins another one between the pipes. Tyler Zak recorded a hat trick and Benjamin Buznik also finished with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) in the victory. The Stars Domenico Cusumano and Luca Campana scored the goals for the Stars. The Canucks have secured a 1st round bye in the playoffs while the Stars continue to battle it out for the #3 seed.

Devils 9 - Lightning  7

A rematch from the night prior (which the Bolts took in OT), the Devs bounce back and earn the dub in regulation. Thomas Primrose gets the win in goal while Anthony Menechino recorded 5 goals and an assist to lead the scoring. Nicholas Urso, Vincent Catalfomo, and Brandon Catalina all recorded a 3-point evening as they each scored a goal and added 2 assists. Jack Purcell, once again led the Bolts scoring attack as he finished with 5 points (4 goals, 1 assist). Christopher Keane added a goal and 2 assists in the loss. Both teams have 1 game remaining in the regular season and will face-off against one another in the 1st round of our double elimination tournament.
